Here what I can conclude is so many ways should be used to foster integration between ethnic groups in school. Proposals such as that posed the concept of School Vision School or flows one must think in order to create integration between ethnic groups.

School is where everything started and it should be treated with care and proper. Schools must also relevant to the current that is constantly changing. But despite the changes that occur, the school as a centre of ethnic integration order to mitigate the most important never lost.

This is so that the multi-ethnic people of Malaysia or people can live united, harmonious and One Malaysia concepts can true.

One schools in the same system should be introduced with the use of Malay Language as the medium to form a new generation who have personality Malaysia. In addition, the cultural rights of ethnic groups to learn other languages and their cultures should be respected and given appropriate protection. This change should be done equitably and fairly. These changes must also be based on the awareness that the benefits and importance of future generation young country is to overcome all other interests.

Education can also foster ethnic integration in schools with full use of the Malay language. Malay have enriched as a complete language learning. This effort not only put the status of Malay language in the appropriate places, but can help bridge the relationship between ethnic schools in the use of one language. Malay as a tool to interact to create a sense of belonging among students who are multi-ethnic.

In my opinion, integration is one of the biggest things in this country, but it doesn’t work in secondary school. Why this is happen? It is happen because of this community lose their nationalism and anti nasionalisme?

My suggestion is school become place to make integration..

School is the best way to improve our integration in school. School system that now separates students according to the medium and ethnic group differences can not play its role effectively and to foster unity and understanding among students. The persistent efforts must be taken to overcome all forms of isolation and separation that are held.

Various policies have been implemented since independence to this day to foster integration among students. Although integration can be seen among students in schools today, but much remains to be done to strengthen this integration process.

Challenges and problems that arise, showing the process of racial integration at school level needs to be updated and strengthened further. We should have policies or a more concrete plan to achieve the objectives of racial integration in schools among students.

so, right now we will discuss about our third research question. how we are going to reduce this matter?

what we will do to improve race relations and creating unity among students in particular and Malaysians in general?

what our opinion?

Ok guys..lets we make the conclusion on this research question..

After I read your opinion, nadia and nabilla.. I think the way of education in the upper secondary school are related with 1 Malaysia concepts. It is because by this way of education like make a single stream school like nadia’s said also can make 1 Malaysia as a reality.

If this way of education we apply in the education in all school, it can make all student especially from the other races together .

This is because the concept of involving all races 1 Malaysia and indirectly all students will be involved. Students will be more united with the concept of 1 Malaysia implemented. This will cause all the students know more about the meaning of unity.

So, this is a conclusion from me.....

I agree with you nadia and dilla..

We should take action on the way of education in school first. As our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said, Malaysians have to collectively agree upon an education system that benefits all and which espouses the values that they uphold.

Other than that, I think the government needs to streamline the education system by having a national school system to promote national integration. Through the system, the national language would be the basic language or the medium of instruction to promote nation building, while Mandarin, Tamil and English would be taught as an option.

From this, we can make our integration especially in upper secondary school much better like nadia said.

For me, to make integration in the upper secondary schools in Malaysia related with 1 Malaysia concepts, we have to change the way of the education in Malaysia.

The implementation of a single stream school could help in the success of the 1 Malaysia concept as it would nurture a sense of unity among students, said International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir.

He said, through the education concept, multiracial students could mingle and interact more effectively.

“It can be done for example, by making Mandarin and Tamil languages as elective subjects so that students can learn their friends’ mother-tongues.

“It would be good if Malaysians can master Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Tamil, thus achieving the objective of a harmonious 1 Malaysia, and to understand one another,” he said in his keynote address at the 1 Malaysia Unity discourse here today.

He said to prevent students from neglecting their mother-tongues, the single stream school must make it compulsory for them to take up their respective mother-tongues.

Mukhriz said the education system could bring all races together, through the sharing of culture and tradition, as well as preventing any racial polarisation.

He said the single stream school proposal was stated in the Razak Report 1956, a year before the country gained independence.

“Allahyarham Tun Abdul Razak once said that he hoped the single stream school would become a reality, but after 52 years of our country’s independence, it has not materialised,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mukhriz said the 1 Malaysia concept mooted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak could be achieved if all parties worked together.

So, I think we should take it such as a guide to make integration in Malaysia especially in upper secondary school become better than now.

http://web1.themalaysianinsider.net/index.php/malaysia/34631-single-stream-school-can-make-1-malaysia-concept-a-success

To me, Malaysians can achieve a considerable level of harmony and unity if such values are instilled in children and what better place to start than in schools. If we take this situation as a serious action, so integration in the upper secondary school in Malaysia can achieve with successfull.

1 Malaysia bring aspiration to improve relations between people to ensure that the people of Malaysia can establish a closer unity.

1 Malaysia concept must be introduced among the students first, so this is to create unity among Malaysians in general and especially school student.

Basic things that need to be established in the sense of unity is respect, mutual trust between people, this attitude must be cultivated among students in schools to ensure that unity exists.

Hai..right now we will disscuss about our second research question. Our next research question is how is integration in the upper secondary schools in Malaysia related with 1 Malaysia concepts? what your opinion?

We as Destiny girl choose The Great Wall of China as one of the great wonder of the world because of it history. Lets we show you all and lets learn about The Great Wall of China here with Destiny Girl..

First we share with you about it history, let’s check it out ..:)

"The long wall of china is a series of stone and earthen fortifications in northern China, built, rebuilt, and maintained between the 5th century BC and the 16th century to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire during various successive dynasties. Since the 5th century BC, several walls have been built that were referred to as the Great Wall. One of the most famous is the wall built between 220–206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Little of that wall remains; the majority of the existing wall were built during the Ming Dynasty.

The Chinese were already familiar with the techniques of wall-building by the time of the Spring and Autumn Period, which began around the 8th century BC. During the Warring States Period from the 5th century BC to 221 BC, the states of Qi, Yan and Zhao all constructed extensive fortifications to defend their own borders. Built to withstand the attack of small arms such as swords and spears, these walls were made mostly by stamping earth and gravel between board frames. Qin Shi Huang conquered all opposing states and unified China in 221 BC, establishing the Qin Dynasty. Intending to impose centralized rule and prevent the resurgence of feudal lords, he ordered the destruction of the wall sections that divided his empire along the former state borders. To protect the empire against intrusions by the Xiongnu people from the north, he ordered the building of a new wall to connect the remaining fortifications along the empire's new northern frontier. Transporting the large quantity of materials required for construction was difficult, so builders always tried to use local resources. Stones from the mountains were used over mountain ranges, while rammed earth was used for construction in the plains. There are no surviving historical records indicating the exact length and course of the Qin Dynasty walls. Most of the ancient walls have eroded away over the centuries, and very few sections remain today. Later, the Han, Sui, Northern and Jin dynasties all repaired, rebuilt, or expanded sections of the Great Wall at great cost to defend themselves against northern invaders.

The Great Wall concept was revived again during the Ming Dynasty following the Ming army's defeat by the Oirats in the Battle of Tumu in 1449. The Ming had failed to gain a clear upper-hand over the Manchurian and Mongolian tribes after successive battles, and the long-drawn conflict was taking a toll on the empire. The Ming adopted a new strategy to keep the nomadic tribes out by constructing walls along the northern border of China. Acknowledging the Mongol control established in the Ordos Desert, the wall followed the desert's southern edge instead of incorporating the bend of the Huang He.

With its rapidly growing infrastructure and budding economy, China is a blend of modern sophistication and rich tradition. It’s this unique combination that makes the country a popular destination. There’s the Great Wall of China and Beijing’s famed Temple of Heaven, with its white marbled, circular altar. Other popular cities include Xian, one of the oldest, and Shanghai, which this year will host the World Expo.

The oldest sections of the Great Wall in the Beijing area - parts built around 1,500 years ago - should be getting more attention, according to an authority on the ancient landmark.

Tang Xiaofeng, a professor from the center of historical geography at Peking University, made the observation while explaining his research to members of the third session of 11th Beijing municipal committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Committee.

Tang has been studying the most ancient sections of the wall for five years and co-wrote a book about the "forgotten sections" in the shadows of Beijing's Yanshan Mountain.

The book Report on the Ruins of the Ancient Great Wall in the Northern Mountains was published in January.

Tang said the ravages of time have ensured the wall is no longer standing but stones used in its construction remain.

"The stone blocks, which are all that is left after the walls were broken down by the constant force from the growth of plants inside the gaps, are valuable," said Tang.

He told METRO yesterday the ruins are the earliest sections of the Great Wall in Beijing's municipal area. They are 900 years older than the Ming Dynasty Great Wall.

The Great Wall was begun between 220 and 206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Little of that wall remains today. Most of the wall celebrated today was built during the Ming Dynasty (1369-1644).

"The ruins of the Great Wall that was built, rebuilt and maintained during the dynasties between the two periods, are often ignored by the public and government," said Tang.

Five years ago, Tang and a group of experts from the Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping started to map the historical geography of Beijing. During the process, they found a long, ruined, stone wall snaking along the top of a mountain.

Tang and other experts believed the ruined wall was a missing part of the Great Wall constructed during the Northern Qi Dynasty, which was one of the Northern dynasties that was in power between 550 and 577.

In 1993, a retired teacher discovered the first traces of the missing walls and wrote a book on the subject.

Local villagers also spoke of "stone fences" nearby.

Tang and his team found additional ruins on Yanshan Mountain in the following years and he believes there are probably more sections waiting to be found on the mountain.

"I am not calling on the municipal government to protect the ruins, since there is nothing to demolish, only the stones that are left behind that have witnessed so much history," said Tang. "However, there is still great research value in the history.

"For instance, I suspect the wall was used to strike awe into potential invaders from the north more than it was built for practical military defensive reasons," said Tang.

He said he would like to see the ruins explored and incorporated into a tourism site along the same lines as the Ming Dynasty Great Wall.

Beijing municipal administration of cultural heritage is planning to conduct full-scale research on the ruins of the ancient Great Wall, said Tang.

in my view, all parties should cooperate to ensure the success of integration in schools. regardless of party schools, government, community or family need together to create racial integration in schools. this is so because, all parties have the responsibility of each to be done to establish integration ..

you are right dilla…but in my opinion the first institution should involved in processing integration in the upper secondary schools in Malaysia is government…why did I say that?? A government is an organization that has the power to make and enforce laws for a certain territory. Schools is under government administrations , so every rules or subject that have been teaching in school are determine by government under Ministry of Education.

Ministry of Education should take an action in processing integration in the upper secondary school. They can create a new subject that are related with integration. The subject should be obligate subject in every schools in Malaysia. So, student from secondary schools will know about integration much better.

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

for me.. everybody should involve in processing integration in the upper secondary schools in Malaysia. and i agree with nabilla. right nadia? but..in my opinion, school institution is the first institution that can make integration in upper secondary school as a reality..

school organization should organize programs that need all students involve to the programs..it's will make all students join together in a program and that's will make them interact with one and others..this situation will make a good integration appear in secondary school when they know each other especially in different raceses..

i want to share with you all my experience when i was in form six in smk seri kampar, perak..
in form six, we have 6 classes..in every class has multi raceses which is chiness, indian and malay
and also 'orang asli'..but..we never has any integration problem..it is because, our principal always remind to all students that we has to cooperate to maintain our integration..and she said,it is very important to protect our school name..and untill we are finished our study in smk seri kampar, we did not has any integration problem among us..i'm very proud of my self and solute to all my friend because we can work together even in different culture, and races..and i'm really thankfull to our principal and all teachers because they taught us how to respect other in different races..

what i'm trying to show now is, school organization should be just like my school principal and teacher which is they never give up to remind all student to work, respect and join together even in different culture..i'm sure student will slowly follow and try to respect another..and when this situation happen, so integration will be in that school especially in secondary school..

The person who should involve in processing integration in Malaysia is community. In my opinion, community is the one of the part to build up integration. I say so because community is the member of this country where they should participate in integration. Task of community, we can divide to a few person such as parent, teacher and so on.

In this part, I will discuss part of parents. Parents should play their role and they are very important. They have become the role model to their children with their relationship between neighbour. So their children will follow their attitude by communicate with the any races, malay, Chinese and india in the school. This is mean that their children will friend with anyone.

The parent should decide and send their children to national school to make the 1 Malaysia concept successes. For those very sensitive to inspired and nasional identity, of course national school is the best choice to school their children.

The community member must support the government exclamation that made up school and education is the place for built up integration.

hi...i'm here to discuss about the topic that we have been selected.....
"integration in upper secondary schools in Malaysia. It is worst?"

first of all....who should involved in processing integration in the upper secondary schools in Malaysia?
what do you thinks about this??
